Acceptable Use Policy
Version 1.0 (private beta) · Published 18 October 2026 · Effective 1 November 2026
Applies to everyone who uses Synapse Console. Replaces the earlier draft.
This policy is part of the Terms of Service and gives more detail on section 6 of the Terms.
1. Purpose
This policy sets out what you may and may not do with Synapse so that it stays safe and reliable for everyone. By using Synapse you agree to follow it.
2. Content you may not create, store or publish
- anything unlawful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, hateful or obscene;
- anything that infringes someone else's intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
- malware or anything designed to damage, disrupt or gain unauthorised access to a system;
- content that sexually exploits or endangers children; and
- content that deceives people about who you are or what you are offering, including impersonation and phishing.
3. Messages you send through Synapse
Synapse can send email and SMS for you. You are the sender, so you must:
- only message people you have the right to contact, and keep the consent you need;
- identify yourself accurately and never disguise the source or subject of a message;
- honour opt-outs promptly, and never remove the unsubscribe link Synapse adds to your emails;
- follow the laws that apply to your messages and recipients, including rules on unsolicited and commercial messages; and
- not send bulk unsolicited messages, or buy, rent or scrape contact lists to message.
4. Activities that are not allowed
- trying to gain unauthorised access to the service, other accounts or other workspaces;
- probing, scanning or testing our systems for weaknesses without our written permission;
- scraping, copying or reverse-engineering the service, or reselling access to it, except as the law allows;
- working around rate limits, usage limits or other protections;
- sharing a login between people; and
- storing payment card numbers or other highly sensitive data that Synapse is not designed to hold.
5. AI features
Do not use the AI features to create content that breaks this policy, to produce material meant to deceive, or to process information you are not allowed to share. You are responsible for reviewing what they produce before you use it.
6. Fair use of resources
Do not put load on the service that degrades it for other people. We may slow down or suspend usage that does.
7. Reporting a problem
If you see activity that breaks this policy, or think your account has been misused, write to legal@ytt.global. We take reports seriously and look into them promptly.
8. What happens if the policy is broken
We may remove content, suspend or end access, and where the law requires or it is appropriate, report the matter to the authorities. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first and give you the chance to fix the problem.
9. Changes
We may update this policy as Synapse develops. We will tell you about material changes by email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect.
